The Johnson County Recycling District will be open March 18th from 9:00 AM- Noon (weather pending). We will be taking e-waste (excluding TV’s and Monitors) and papers for shredding. The papers will not be shredded on site, but will be taken to Shares Shredding in locked bins to be shredded and properly disposed of. *helpful hint- you can speed up you wait time by bringing your papers in disposable containers.*
If you are a Johnson County teacher or non-for profit organization you can shop in our Creative Resources warehouse for $5.00.
The Tox Box will be open to take household hazardous waste. Check the list below for items taken at the Tox Box. Please do not bring latex paint, as we do not take latex paint at the Tox Box. Call us for information on how to properly dispose of latex paint or reference our Tox Box page.
